Job Description

The candidate will be primarily responsible for IT projects delivery that are related to Student Information System functional modules such as Student Records, Academic Advisement, Student Finance, Campus Community, etc. Jobholder will work closely with the user community, external vendors, and other stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects related to PeopleSoft Campus Solution.
  • Supervises the execution of PeopleSoft Campus Solution projects to achieve targets, which involves configuration setup, analysing user requirements, participating in solution design, planning, preparing test data, developing test scripts, executing testing, and deploying solutions to higher environments.
  • Develop or review project artefacts and deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with NUS guidelines and policies.
  • Participate in procurement processes, including preparation of tender requirements, solution evaluations and contract management.
  • Maintains close collaboration with business users and fosters strong working relationships.
  • Leads the project team in an agile manner to optimise manpower resources while sustaining a positive team morale.

 

Maintenance and Support

  • Responsible for ensuring the successful ongoing maintenance of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions functional modules and support, ensuring that service level agreements are fulfilled.
  • Manages or provides support and maintenance for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions functional areas, including delivering enhancements and bug fixes, handling service requests, and troubleshooting issues, among other tasks.
  • Adhere to standard change management procedures for all system changes.
  • Offers advice and proposes functional and technical solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develops, updates, or reviews system artefacts and deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with NUS guidelines and policies.
  • Conducts systems and data analysis, examining existing system/program logic issues and revising logic and procedures as needed.
  • Addresses audit queries and ensures compliance with audit and security standards.
  • Collaborates closely with business users in planning annual IT projects and setting priorities for enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years in the IT industry, including 5 years of experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.x, and over 2 years in project management.
  • Strong understanding of IT technologies, methodologies, architectures, and best practices.
  • Excellent business process and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate information and communicate complex requirements and issues. Understanding the business questions users aim to address is crucial.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of integrating PeopleSoft with third-party systems.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting and communicating with all levels of management, users, and vendors.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a strong team player, proactive, quick learner, highly organised, with a positive attitude.
  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform is an added advantage.

  • Having experience in Cloud migration would be an added advantage.

 

AI Initiative Delivery

  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve processes, enhance user experience, or unlock new capabilities across Faculty and Research domains.
  • Translate business needs into clearly defined AI use cases, shaping functional requirements, solution approaches, and measurable success criteria.
  • Apply practical understanding of AI approaches - including generative AI, predictive analytics, and workflow automation - to support solution design and implementation.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, from discovery and prototyping through implementation, rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the design and implementation of agentic workflows and AI-powered automations using orchestration platforms such as n8n, integrating them with enterprise systems, data sources, and business processes where appropriate.

 

AI fluency

  • Hands-on experience delivering AI or data-driven initiatives in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Practical understanding of modern AI concepts - including generative AI, agentic AI, and predictive/machine learning approaches.
  • Relevant AI certifications, hands-on experience with AI platforms/orchestration tools, or demonstrated continuous learning in the AI domain will be an advantage.
