Job Description
This role is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of data integration and data management solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive requirements gathering workshops to study as-is systems and processes and identify gaps between proposed design and gathered requirements
- Responsible for the high-level and detailed technical solution and design in adherence to data management and organization’s IT policies
- Responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of data integration and data management solutions
- Responsible for data profiling and data quality improvement recommendation
- Lead technical members from different teams to deliver the end-to-end solution that meets time, scope and quality requirements
- Work with data engineers, data analysts and data scientists in the implementation of analytics solutions
- Work with OLTP systems and Enterprise Integration teams in the implementation of end-to-end data integration solutions
- Responsible for greenfield data management technology exploration, innovation, evaluation and implementation
- Produce training materials and provide cross-skill / up-skill training or coaching to technical members
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification is a Degree in Data Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent. Candidates with qualifications covering Business & IT domains are preferred
- At least 10 years of IT working experience, with 6 years specialising in ETL related works within an IT department. At least 2 years of L2/L3 lead experience leading remote team from another time zone or culture
- At least 2 years of working experience in 3NF/dimensional data modelling, Azure, Denodo, restful API and/or Power BI
- Strong experience in Informatica as ETL Architect/Lead
- Strong knowledge in ETL implementation from source APIs to target data stores like Azure, Amazon S3 and on-premises storage
- Solid SQL skills, including experience querying and tuning large, complex data sets and performance analysis
- Able to develop RedHat Linux shell scripts, including ability to script SFTP file transfers
- Good knowledge in network and/or operating systems
- Solid skills in cost-benefit analysis, selection and implementation of data management technology to an organisation
- Possess working experience in using globally recognized frameworks such as DAMA, ITIL, TOGAF, ISO/IEC27001 or CoBIT
- Certification in data security, protection or privacy is preferred
- Experience in writing RFP specification is preferred
- Evidence of self-learning attitude to continuously improve knowledge and skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, users, and vendors
- Empathic personality with ability to communicate with all levels of management, users, and vendors. Has history of establishing win-win negotiation outcomes.
- Must be a good team player, proactive in nature, fast learner, highly organized and go-getter attitude with can-do spirit
- Knowledge in Python, NoSQL and Shell Script will be a bonus
