Job Description

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI). 


The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore’s AI efforts.


AI Singapore (AISG) in partnership with the SAF AI Centre (SAIC), is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to plan, manage strategic programs, initiatives and support real-world project selection for skills deepening, and enable professional certification readiness.


SAIC is a unit within the Digital and Intelligence Service, dedicated to addressing SAF's operational data science challenges and operationalising AI solutions. As the centre of excellence for AI, SAIC enhances the operational capabilities of SAF, driving productivity and efficiency through innovative AI solutions that advance SAF's defence capabilities.

Duties & Responsibilities 

 

In this role, you will:
• Plan and execute AI skilling program to raise AI fluency level for SAF workforce, including but not limited to learning management system, courses and knowledge repository.
• Plan and maintain a knowledge repository, including but not limited to common AI use cases, global AI standards and best practices and relevant information that support the vision and mission of SAIC
• Support Senior AI Engineer to develop and maintain job-skills-proficiency (JSP) map
• Support Senior AI Engineer to execute AI engineer certification programme.

Qualifications

Technical skillsets are not required but you must be sufficiently familiar with AI, data science, and/or technology in general to be able to converse credibly with academics and  technical experts. 

 

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Knowledge of AI or Data Science is highly desirable. 
• At least 3 years working experience in conceptualizing, implementing, and/or managing technology-related research projects or programs.  
• Possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. 
• Resourceful and proactive, able to identify opportunities and work around ambiguity.
• Formal pedagogical background and experience is highly desirable. 
• Experience with engaging government agencies on projects and collaborations, or international partnerships, is advantageous.
• Experience with research grant management or public policy design is a bonus.
