Academic Curriculum Specialist/ Educationist

Job purpose      

• To work in a team at the Centre for Infectious Disease Emergencies Response, School of Medicine, leading the education track
• To lead in the creation, development and implementation of diploma and masters level training courses relating to outbreak preparedness and response using adult learning framework

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the development of robust framework and curricula for diverse post-graduate masters and diploma courses, including scenario based and interactive trainings in various modalities related to outbreak response
• Assist in the development of technical and leadership trainings as the need emerges
• Teamwork, flexibility, adaptability, problem solving, good communicator, work independently with initiative

Education and experience qualifications

• Robust understanding and application of adult learning principles in curricula design 
• Minimum 7 years of expertise in curricula design, development, and training 
• An academic appointment will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s previous achievements. 
• A primary or post grad degree in education. 
• Minimum 7 years’ experience ideally in international and public health related activities
