The Role

A key member in the education team.  The position holder will provide administrative support for the smooth execution of teaching activities and assessments related to undergraduate modules. 

Job Description

 

Assessment Matters

  • Assist manager in pre and post assessments matters (printing of assessment papers, create assessments in Examsoft, Class & Exam Timetabling System (CMIS) updates for exam matters, marks inputs /collation, etc) 
  • Assist course coordinators (CC) with marks upload to Integrated Marks Management System (IMMS) either in capacity as CC or Authorizing Office (AO) role and to ensure the correct final marks are uploaded by the deadline given by Registrar’s Office

 

Education Matters

  • Responsible for UROPS, Final Year Projects and graduate modules matters for the department, ensuring zero all projects and assessments are submitted within stipulated deadlines
  • Provide backup for manager in medical, life sciences and nursing support when necessary

 

Admin support for DEEP team

  • Provide necessary admin support (timetabling, venues set up, webcast requests, CANVAS course sites updates, etc) for Life Sciences teaching activities to ensure all lectures run smoothly
  • Support the DEEP team on all administrative matters to ensure workplans and activities are accomplished

 

Social medial platforms

  • Responsible for all news and updates on the department’s various social media platforms to ensure all information are up-to-date
  • Explore ways to increase the number of followers for each platform

 

Continuing Education Training (CET) and ad-hoc duties

  • Provide admin support to all CET courses run in the department
  • Assist in other administrative functions as and when required
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience in the education industry
  • Possess administrative experience preferably in teaching institutions or education work
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Conscientious and eye to details
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills (in both verbal and writing) 
  • Team player with a friendly and approachable disposition
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Teams, Zoom, etc
  • Experience with learning management system, time-tabling system and exam system will be advantageous
  • Good knowledge in social media platforms and their underlying algorithms
