Job Description

The incumbent will assist the Programme Director of the NUS Medicine, Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme in the areas of research collaborations, media engagement/outreach and website content management, event management, business development and other miscellaneous administrative duties.

 

Responsibilities include:

Social media engagement, outreach and event management
- Prepare newsletter, content for websites and social media including LinkedIn, twitter and Facebook to promote HLTRP
- Maintain the website and content of Healthy Longevity TRP as the department Webmaster
- Organize and coordinate HLTRP seminars, workshops and conferences for academic, industry and laymen.
- Secretariat for coordination of organizing/scientific committee meetings and attend to follow-ups from the meetings
- Assist with drafting invitation letters to speakers, coordination of responses from speakers and update committee and the programme for the event
- Assist with booking of flights/accommodation for the speakers
- Liaison with donors for sponsorship of event and follow-up of paperwork related to the donation
- Drafting and design of marketing materials, sending out of EDMs and updating the website to market the event

 

Healthy Longevity Webinar Series Management
- Manage the Healthy Longevity webinar series which is scheduled 3 times a month
- Work with the Programme Director and coordinator to identify the speakers and topics for presentation
- Liaise with the speakers on availability as well as logistics and presentation slides
- Work with the producer of the webinars during the live session. 
- Act as co-host of the webinar and monitoring timing of the entire session and flow.
- Coordinating with the facilitators, student presenter and programme Director.
- Liaise with CET team for assistance with uploading of webinar on their website and also backup producer.
- Work with procurement for raising of the POs for expenses related to the webinar.


Partnerships and Business Development
- Assist Programme Director with managing both existing research partners and donors
- Analyse data and identify useful information to prepare meeting materials
- Take a lead role in the development of strategies, proposals and presentations for new materials to create and nurture research collaborative opportunities and partnerships.
- Assist with the required paperwork such as collaborative agreements (NDAs, RCAs, CRAs Service agreements etc), creation of new accounts and funds management as well as prepare required reports to donors.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in business or management with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
•    Takes initiative and possesses strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and able to perform independently
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strict integrity standards in handling confidential matters
•    Good sense for style for websites and presentations, ability to create graphics.
•    Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
•    Good interpersonal and communication skills
•    Tact, discretion, and diplomacy to work with a diverse group from varying cultures
•    Well organized with good monitoring and follow-up skills within tight deadlines
•    Resourceful and comfortable in a fast-changing environment
•    Flexible hours as dictated by the needs of business for projects and meetings.
•    Commitment to excellence - perform duties at the highest level possible on a consistent basis.
•    Ability to think outside of the box with a sense of urgency.
