Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for an Assistant Manager (MSc Programme) position in the Centre of Infectious Disease Emergency Response (CIDER), NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

 

CIDER was established under NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine to support Singapore authorities and partners nationally, regionally and globally to strengthen their capabilities to prevent, detect and effectively respond to infectious disease emergencies.

 

The candidate will report to CIDER’s education specialist to provide support on administrative and operational functions for the new Master’s degree – MSc Infectious Disease and Outbreak Response.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide support across the programme in the areas of administration, operations, and logistics. Responsibilities included but are not limited to faculty matters, timetable scheduling, managing course registrations, overseeing student records and feedback, handling exam procedures, processing payments, managing procurement, and events management.
  • Support the faculty in programme development, preparation, and implementation.
  • Maintain good standards of operational efficiency and seek opportunities to optimize processes.
  • Provide support in stakeholder management by facilitating communication with various departments and external organisations. Contribute to the administrative tasks by preparing engagement letters among other necessary processes.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the MSc Programme Director.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ideally at least 5 years of relevant working experience in supporting academic programmes within tertiary institutions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective in multi-cultural environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple and competing tasks/deadlines well
  • Team player, able to develop good relationships
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and able to (if not already) become proficient in University IT systems
