Assistant Manager, Ophthalmology (2 year renewable contract)

Job Description

Under the Centre for Innovation and Precision Eye Health (InVISION), the incumbent will be in charge of the following:

1.    Administrative Support:

•    Provide administrative support and facilitate in planning of teaching courses and oversee the day-to-day operations of course related matters, such as managing the Learning Management System (LMS) and rostering students’ clinical attachment.
•    Work closely with Dean’s Office, NUSMed Department in course proposal and fund applications
•    Facilitate communications with internal and external parties including allied health and liaison with relevant partners
•    Perform secretariat duties to faculty and staff, in documenting meeting minutes and to facilitate in follow-up actions.

2.    Budget and Financial Management:

•    Monitoring of iSight funds, preparing budget call and capital expenditure projection
•    Assist in budget planning, expenditure tracking and financial reporting.
•    Monitor and reconcile departmental accounts
•    Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by supervisor

3.    Student Services

•    Address student inquiries and concerns, providing information and assistance as needed.
•    Assist in maintaining student records, academic forms and related documentation

4.    Policy Compliance:

•    Ensure compliance with university policies, procedures, and regulations within the department.

Qualifications

•    Minimum Bachelor's Degree from any discipline
•   Experience in education/academic environment will be advantageous
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills
•    Good organization skills
•    Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
•    Familiar with academic/fund management
•    Experience in procurement processes related to education
