Job Title:  Assistant Manager, TRP Central Admin (2-year contract)

Job Description

  1. To manage the recruitment of faculty candidates on tenure-track and practice track
  2. To support the University’s process of mid-term review (MTAR) and promotion & tenure (P&T) of academic staff
  3. To manage the appointments and reappointments of research staff, adjunct staff and Visiting Professors
  4. To manage the appointments of academic visitors
  5. To manage the annual appraisals for academic staff and research staff
  6. To support the other functions for the TRP Central Admin eg organization of events
  7. To support the nomination of PhD Defence Chairs for postgraduate students

 

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  2. At least 5 years working experience in research administration in tertiary institutions, particularly in academic affairs function
  3. Highly organized individual and adaptable to a dynamic work environment
  4. Exhibits initiative, proven effective leadership & team management and ability to work under pressure/deadlines
  5. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills and  the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  7. Proactive approach to problem solving with growth mindset
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications
  9. Knowledge and experience in research bibliometrics (eg Scopus) will be advantageous
