JOB DESCRIPTION:
The School of Medicine, and MBI is currently inviting applications for a faculty position, particularly, outstanding candidates with a commitment to both independent and collaborative interdisciplinary research in the area of mechanical and dynamical processes understanding of cellular behavior in health and disease.
A successful candidate will hold a joint appointment as Principal Investigator at MBI and tenured Professor or Associate Professor, or tenure-track Assistant Professor, in the department of physiology, School of medicine and will be provided an internationally competitive salary and benefits, core facility support, as well as a generous start-up package.
QUALIFICATION:
Relevant experience in the study of the understanding disease mechanisms and developing new therapeutic strategies, particularly in the fields of cancer, aging, and cardiovascular health, or mechanobiology in general, is highly desirable, as is an established track record in group leadership, mentoring, grantsmanship, and high impact publications. The successful candidate is expected to carry out research that complements and synergises with the core expertise of research currently being carried out in MBI and SOM,NUS. The successful candidate is also expected to establish collaborative, multidisciplinary research projects that actively integrate and leverage the expertise of principal investigators at MBI.
