Job Description
The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for Assistant/Associate-level Professorship at the Centre for Translational MR Research (TMR) in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. This is a tenure-track position with 12-month salary 100% paid by the university.
The Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSOM) is a leading research institution in the world, being ranked in the top 20 worldwide and holds the top position in Asia (QS ranking). Established in 1905 to educate and train medical professionals for Singapore, YLLSOM hosts more than 40 departments in the basic sciences and clinical specialties, as well as faculty research centres and Translational Research Programmes covering a full spectrum of medical specialties.
If hired, the Professor will be part of the Centre for Translational MR Research (TMR), which offers state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) capacity for both clinical and translational research. TMR is staffed with trained personnel to support research in imaging and image analysis, spanning from basic science to clinical trials. The Professor is expected to lead an independent research program and make significant contributions to one of the following research areas including, but not limited to:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) acquisition, preprocessing and analysis
- Multi-modal and multi-body imaging (especially cardiac, neuro and metabolic areas)
- Machine learning of brain and body MRI
The Professor can be affiliated with the Department of Medicine, Department for Diagnostic Radiology, Departments of Pharmacology or Department of Physiology within the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and work closely with Centre for Sleep and Cognition and Clinical Imaging Research Centre (with MR-PET facilities). Joint appoint with College of Design and Engineering, NUS, is also possible. He/ She will have access to a network of basic and clinician scientists to collaborate with to support research studies.

The Professor will have access to 2 research-dedicated 3T MRI scanners, EEG/eye tracker, digital wearables, and high-performance computing infrastructure. Pay scales are similar to those in the United States. Start-up package will also be internationally attractive.
