Job Description

The Global Heat Health Information Network (GHHIN) will be setting up its Southeast Asia Regional Heat Health Node at the Heat Resilience & Performance Centre (HRPC) to promote partnership and collaboration among key institutions driving heat health research in the region, harmonize and improve information and opportunity sharing and to assist one another in capability building to support extreme heat prevention and response. 

Reporting to the Director and Co-Director of HRPC, we are looking for a highly motivated Network Manager to ensure the smooth development and effective and efficient operations of the Regional Node. 

Responsibilities include:
•    Develop a comprehensive strategy for the Regional Node’s operations to meet its objectives.
•    Strategize and direct initiatives and projects within the Regional Node ensuring efficient execution and coordination between teams and stakeholders.
•    Develop strategic and efficient processes for financial management, including budget planning, resource allocation, expense tracking, procurement and financial performance across the node
•    Establish a plan for monitoring of regional and international trends in climate change and heat health to identify growth opportunities and areas of focus for the Regional Node.
•    Develop a strategic framework for the establishment of partnerships with external organisations, institutions and stakeholders.
•    Develop strategic positioning for information and opportunity sharing across the Regional Node.
•    Design and maintain networks with public and private stakeholders to foster partnerships and collaboration.
•    Facilitate the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and expertise among Node members, encouraging cross-pollination of ideas.
•    Negotiate agreements and engagements for the Regional Node’s initiatives and projects. Develop an overall strategy towards management of the events of the network.
•    Direct strategic projects and events, such as conferences, workshops, forums, webinars, and networking sessions.
•    Lead key events ensuring effective planning, execution, and evaluation for continuous improvement.
•    Lead coordination with internal and external stakeholders for successful event management.
•    Develop a strategic framework for training and skill building across the network.
•    Identify training needs and develop relevant strategies and plans for capability and capacity building.


  • Degree with at least 6 to 8 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a research management and operations
  • Track record of working with and managing cross-functional teams and achieving strong results through them.
  • Good understanding of the academic and healthcare environments
  • Experience in conference/meeting organization would be advantageous
  • Creative and strong in strategic thinking and planning
  • Proven ability to understand and deliver on a range of stakeholder requirements, including in an event-planning scenario
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to write for a variety of audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adhere to high standards of professional integrity and ethics.
