Research Assistant (Full-time)
Appointment period: 1 year (1st September 2026 – 31st August 2027), with a possibility of extension.
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader of “An artificial intelligence (AI)-powered self-Management enhancement intervention for patients undergoing haemoDialysis (AIManageDialysis)” and will be required to:
- oversee the general management and provide administrative or other support to the project (e.g., organising regular research meetings, recording meeting minutes)
- undertake the day-to-day operations of the project at the study site(s) (e.g., assist in ethics applications and amendments, assist in obtaining project agreement, recruitment of participants, provision of intervention, data collection and follow-up on participants)
- conduct literature reviews and/or systematic reviews
- conduct data entry and data analyses
- prepare progress reports and/or manuscripts for the project
- maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures
- work on other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
The applicant should:
- have at least a Bachelor’s degree with good results, and a health science background (e.g., nursing/public health/ allied health or related disciplines);
- having an Honours degree is preferred/ an advantage;
- have experience in the process of conducting research;
- be able to work independently and with a team, be proactive towards work, and pay attention to detail;
- have knowledge of computer and data analysis applications (such as SPSS, Jamovi and R);
- have fluency in English, with good written and communication skills;
- be bilingual (e.g. Mandarin/Malay/Tamil), preferably, as the appointee may need to communicate with participants who speak only their mother tongue.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in research for randomised controlled trials and project management.
