Job Description

Appointment period: (Feb 2024 to Jan 2025) 1 year in the first instance, with a possibility of extension.

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the project, “Long-term effects of park usage on the psychosocial well-being of individuals in Singapore: A prospective cohort study”, and will be required to:

  1. oversee the general management of the project;
  2. undertake the day-to-day running of the project at the study site (such as recruitment, provision of intervention, and data collection);
  3. work with various stakeholders on the development and evaluation of the intervention;
  4. provide administrative and secretarial support to the project, such as organizing regular meetings to maintain regular communication with other members of the research team and collaborate with the study sites;
  5. undertake the day-to-day running of the project at the study site, e.g. Collaborate with team members at the study sites, recruitment, and data collection at the study site;
  6. conduct literature searches, using SPSS to enter data, analyze data and maintain the trial database, as well as assist in preparing both progress and final reports of the project;
  7. maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping per policies and procedures; assist in ethical application, amendment and submission of annual and final reports; and
  8. work on other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

    1. have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing/psychology/public health or related disciplines;
    2. experience working with research project management will be preferred;
    3. be able to work independently and with a team, have an investigative nature and attention to detail;
    4. have knowledge of computer applications (such as SPSS and MS Office, PowerPoint); and
    5. have good communication skills with patients and colleagues, and fluency in English.

Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in research and project management.
