Research Assistant (Department of Medicine)

Job Description

The NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS), seeks a committed Research Assistant to join our research team. In this role, you will engage in both laboratory work and administrative responsibilities. 

• Prior experience with tissue culture (especially mammalian cells) techniques, and familiarity with cell isolation techniques would be advantageous.
• Experience with molecular biological techniques, such as Genomic DNA extractions, RT-   qPCR, molecular cloning. Ability to perform Immunological, Protein and RNA assays is a plus.
• Able to adapt to work with different clinical/Pre-clinical samples.
• Demonstrate excellent quantitative, analytical and organisation skills
• A strong team player who is open-minded, independent, highly motivated and can work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary and diverse team.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities, including administrative tasks, as assigned by the Principal Investigator or their representative.

Qualifications

• Hold a good degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be proficient in common computer applications (e.g., MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, SPSS, R, Stata).
