Research Associate (Dept of O&G)

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Research Associate to aid our projects by performing lab experiments, analysing data, summarising results, presentation of data, preparation and submission of manuscripts. You will also work with the team who can help bring your expertise into their papers as they complete them for publication in academic journals. Ultimately, you will be responsible for managing multiple tasks (research-related and administrative-related), but understand when one is more important than another to complete it on time.

• Perform research and wet lab experiments
• Maintain quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings

• Analyse data using various statistical methods
• Write reports to summarise data and the implications of the results
• Preparation and presentation of research data slides
• Preparation and submission of manuscripts
• Maintain high levels of lab safety practices
• Maintain high level of lab safety SOPs and Risk Assessment documents

Qualifications

• A minimum of Master of Science degree in the related field 

• Experience in research and research-related tasks

Requirements and skills

• Proven work experience as a Research Assistant or similar role
• Excellent administrative skills
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of molecular research methods (is advantageous)
• Ability to work under pressure and work independently
• Excellent time management skills
