- Data Management: Acquire, manage, and curate clinical and research data in compliance with ethical and security standards.
- Concept and Algorithm Development: Innovate in data science, machine learning, and AI.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Contribute to data analysis, reporting, and publication using advanced methods.
- Research Preparation: Lead and assist in preparing research studies, grant proposals, ethics applications, and presentations.
- Research Management: Coordinate research activities, mentor/train researchers and clinicians, and conduct workshops and seminars.
- Oversight: Supervise data science and biostatistics support staff and potentially students.
- Trend Awareness: Stay informed about current and emerging trends in data science.
- Committee Membership: Participate in the DFM research committee.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Master’s or PhD in Data Science or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in medical statistics, data science, and applications across various domains.
- Skills in processing and analyzing large datasets, data wrangling, visualization, big data analysis, and machine learning.
- Expert skills with at least one data analysis environment (e.g., R, Stata or SAS).
- Skills in machine learning and programming proficiency in languages like JavaScript and Python will be desirable
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
