Job Description
A Research Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Assoc. Prof. Chester Drum, Department of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Singapore. The project is seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate to study the pathogenesis of heart failure and develop potential novel therapeutics to cure heart disease. The project aims to decipher the mechanisms of action of novel cardioprotective compounds and targeting cardioprotective biomarkers. Our laboratory uses interdisciplinary approaches in biochemistry, biophysics, cell and molecular biology together with materials engineering to develop new technologies for basic science and biomedical applications. Our goal is to provide new insights into the molecular pathogenesis of heart failure, but also advance the development of novel mechanism-based approaches for heart failure prevention and therapy.
