Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Research Fellow will report to and collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and the project team to deliver outcomes across several nationally funded studies. These include projects on ischaemic stroke and cardiovascular diseases, with an emphasis on biomarker discovery and validation using preclinical vascular and animal models. A central goal is to uncover why strokes occur and how to identify individuals at elevated risk who may benefit from more intensive interventions. The programme draws on a richly phenotyped biorepository of stroke patient samples, comprehensively profiled by whole-exome sequencing, RNA-seq, and proteomics, with clinical outcomes tracked over more than a decade.
