The Centre for Healthcare Simulation (CHS) is dedicated to fostering transformative learning experiences that prepare healthcare students for real-world clinical environments. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Executive to lead our Standardised Patients (SP) programme. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless orchestration of SP engagements across multiple faculties including Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.
In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and delivery of SP training and assessment sessions. By collaborating closely with academic faculty and simulation staff, you will enhance the quality and authenticity of clinical skills education and patient communication practice. Your work will directly impact the preparedness and confidence of future healthcare professionals.
Key aspects of the role include:
- SP Training & Development: Design, implement, and evaluate training programmes that equip SPs with the skills necessary to effectively support clinical education and assessment objectives.
- Operational Coordination: Orchestrate logistics for teaching sessions and high-stakes examinations, ensuring all aspects such as scheduling, moulage application, and simulation environment setup are executed flawlessly.
- Recruitment & Quality Assurance: Lead recruitment drives to maintain a diverse and capable pool of SPs. Monitor and assess SP performance, providing constructive feedback to promote continual improvement.
- Data & Systems Management: Oversee accurate record-keeping of SP engagement data and remuneration, including administering and ensuring the integrity of IT systems supporting the programme.
- Educational Advancement: Contribute to pedagogical innovation by developing educational media and supporting research initiatives that explore advances in SP methodology and healthcare simulation.

Qualifications
- Academic Background: A degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Sciences, or a closely related discipline is preferred, reflecting foundational knowledge valuable to the role.
- Professional Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in healthcare or allied health environments, with demonstrated exposure to education or patient interaction settings, is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are essential for effective liaison with SPs, faculty, students, and administrative teams.
- Organisational Aptitude: Proven experience in coordinating complex schedules and managing multiple concurrent tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Technological Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office suite and comfort navigating and managing digital databases and bespoke IT systems is required to ensure efficient data handling and reporting.
- Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative team player who can also operate autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating reliability and initiative.
- Flexibility & Commitment: Willingness to embrace ongoing learning opportunities and undertake responsibilities that may occasionally extend to weekends or outside regular hours to ensure smooth programme delivery.
