The successful candidate will play a key role in conceptualizing research directions, supervising junior researchers, and driving high-impact publications. This position offers an opportunity to take scientific leadership in ongoing and emerging projects focused on cancer progression, therapeutic resistance, tumor-immune interactions, or molecular oncology, depending on expertise. The role also involves collaboration with clinical and translational research teams to help bridge laboratory discoveries with clinical application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead independent and collaborative research projects aligned with the lab’s focus on cancer biology and/or translational oncology.
- Design, execute, and oversee complex experimental protocols, including in vitro, in vivo, and multi-omics approaches.
- Supervise and mentor postdoctoral researchers, Ph.D. students, and research assistants, fostering a productive and supportive lab environment.
- Analyze, interpret, and integrate large-scale datasets (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) to generate actionable biological insights.
- Drive the preparation of high-impact manuscripts, reviews, and grant applications.
- Present findings at internal meetings, national and international conferences, and contribute to the lab’s strategic research direction.
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, core facilities, and external academic/industry partners.
- Ensure research compliance with institutional and funding body policies, including ethics and safety standards.
Key Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Immunology, or a closely related discipline, with 3–6+ years of relevant postdoctoral experience.
- Demonstrated track record of leading independent research and publishing in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong expertise in a range of cancer research methodologies (e.g., molecular biology, cell culture, in vivo models, omics technologies).
- Proven ability to design and manage complex research projects and supervise research teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis, scientific writing, and presentation of research outcomes.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative research environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
