Job Description

The NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is looking for a highly dynamic, creative and energetic individual to join its Communications team. The incumbent is a strong and versatile writer and project manager, who will work with the Communications leadership and key internal and external stakeholders to formulate, coordinate and implement a range of strategic and corporate communications initiatives to:

-    Raise the profile of the School as a leading medical school in Asia and the world
-    Showcase ground-breaking, impactful healthcare research 
-    Highlight key education programmes that train and nurture competent, compassionate doctors and nurses

 

Responsibilities include:

 

•    Work with team members and appointed creative agency to drive the social media strategy that enhances the position of the School as one of the leading medical schools in Asia and the world. 
•    Responsible for planning, development, coordination of production timelines and delivery of corporate digital, online social media content such as infographics, photography, videography, visuals and other media across owned digital platforms. 
•    Writing, story-boarding proof-reading, and copy-editing text and material for the School’s website and social media platforms. 
•    Manage monthly reporting of social media efforts, campaigns and tracking of media buy budgets.
•    Work with internal and external stakeholders to plan and develop a comprehensive communications plan to support the strategic initiatives for the Centre for Holistic Initiatives for Learning and Development (CHILD), Bia-Echo Asia Centre for Reproductive Longevity and Equality (ARCLE), and the Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions (BISI)
•    Conceptualise and create content, manage websites, social media platforms and developing event collaterals and materials including but not limited to videos, posters, EDMs, social media posts, brochures etc for internal and/or external dissemination.
•    Responsible for budgetary planning, procurement and budget control for communications activities for the above named centres.
•    Manage and coordinate on-going projects, keeping an eye on timelines and achieving milestone goals to meet specific deadlines.
•    Review key initiatives and report on progress at management meetings.
•    Gatekeeping for matters pertaining to corporate identity, logo, School Vision, Mission, Values, to ensure consistent and accurate use of the School’s corporate identifiers.
•    Ensure proper archival of collaterals, press releases, corporate material and visual/graphic footage and images. 
•    Where assigned, to facilitate any production, writing and editing work pertaining to corporate collaterals such as brochures, briefs, reports, presentation decks, EDMs and online/web material.


 

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in Communications, English, English Literature, Arts, Journalism, Visual Communications, Advertising, Marketing and/or similar, with at least 5 to 8 years of relevant job experience
  • Previous experience in journalism, integrated marketing, advertising, corporate communications
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills to work with stakeholders of all levels across the organisation
  • Has an eye for aesthetics to produce and work with and across visual mediums including EDMs, photo, videos, web material and print
  • Strong writing and presentation abilities for a range of audiences, including lay and specialist
  • Interface and build stakeholder relationships, including governmental agencies and community partners Experience in planning/producing content and developing regular ‘always-on’ social media engagement initiatives as well as strategic campaigns.
  • Good operational knowledge of key social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter as well as Google/web analytics.
  • Able to design and use Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator, video editing tools to create sound and visually appealing collaterals.
  • Good camera abilities to capture still and moving visuals will be a plus
