Job Purpose

Support faculty and course owners in the teaching delivery and teaching administration of Biomedical Informatics programmes, with a primary focus on the MSc in Biomedical Informatics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support faculty in preparing teaching, tutorial, workshop and assessment materials.
  • Provide onsite support for lectures, tutorials, workshops and practical sessions, including classroom setup and teaching logistics.
  • Maintain Canvas course sites, including uploading teaching materials, announcements, assignments, rubrics and learning resources.
  • Support assessment administration, including setting up submissions, tracking deadlines, checking submissions and maintaining assessment records.
  • Collate and maintain marks and grading records, and follow up with faculty on outstanding marks or grading matters.
  • Support students on teaching related matters including Canvas, course materials, submissions and assessment timelines.
  • Support capstone teaching activities including project tracking, presentations and assessment related coordination.
  • Maintain teaching files, assessment documents, Canvas records and course delivery documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Preferably 1 to 3 years of relevant teaching support, academic support or industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics, AI, programming or related technical tools would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with good attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple teaching and assessment timelines and work closely with faculty and students.
  • Proactive, service oriented and comfortable providing onsite teaching support.
