Teaching Assistant

 

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Teaching Assistant in the Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

 

The Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with the Module Coordinators and other team members involved in the modules to ensure effective design, delivery, supervision and assessment that focus on the students’ learning process; innovative course design and/or delivery and/or assessment, including where applicable use of technology to further these ends; and a reflective and professional approach to teaching and student learning. He/She will also support education-related activities in the Department. 

Main duties and responsibilities

 

The Teaching Assistant is expected to perform the following duties:

  • Exam question formatting;
  • Blueprinting;
  • Curriculum tagging;
  • Assist with teaching material preparation including AV aids, newer format; and
  • Assist in writing Education Research

Qualifications

 

The applicant should: 

  1. Have a Good Honours degree with good knowledge, skills and expertise in the relevant field; 
  2. Be able to work independently and in a team, attention to details; and 
  3. Have knowledge of computer applications, e.g. MS office, PowerPoint
