Job Description

The Assistant Manager/Manager in Marketing & Communications advances the marketing and publicity of key Conservatory initiatives including concerts, events and academic programmes, to promote uptake and awareness in the general public as well as NUS community. The position strategises and executes marketing efforts across multiple channels including web, social media and email, working closely with colleagues across various teams. The position also supports the overall Communications and Engagement function, helping to champion Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music’s brand and institutional positioning.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Strategise and execute marketing and publicity efforts to promote uptake and awareness for key Conservatory initiatives including concerts, events and academic programmes.
• Conceptualise and create marketing content across Conservatory digital channels including social media, web and email. Pitch and create content for placement on NUS and external platforms to reach wider interested audiences.
• Coordinate with NUS offices on University-wide/University-facing campaigns and publicity.
• Responding to public queries on YST digital channels, working with respective staff/faculty in charge.
• Track analytics for communications and marketing efforts, and refine strategies over time based on findings.
• Support overall work in the Communications & Engagement function, to help champion and advance YST’s brand and institutional positioning.


• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in arts/communications/humanities. Preference for degree in Music, though strong understanding of and engagement with classical music scene in Singapore will be considered favourably.
• Experience in managing social media platforms, including planning and implementing paid media campaigns, and developing strategies.
• Experience in creating engaging content (written, graphic, video) for digital platforms.
• Skills in graphic design, video creation and editing. Photography and animation are a plus.
• Good understanding of analytics and the ability to interpret data to insight and drive action.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and to deadline.
• Flexibility in working hours, including some evenings and weekends, will be expected as events may require.
