Job Description

To develop and grow research opportunities for NUS.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited, to:

 

  1. Collaborate and work with NUS Profs, PIs and researchers to identify research outcomes from basic research programmes as well as to scope strategic research projects / initiatives across multiple domains for translational research, which are scalable for industry.
  2. Drive Innovation, solutioning and translational collaboration with government agencies and companies as well as to develop pathways with companies to take innovation to market.
  3. Develop and drive the research & innovation strategy in ODPRT, which takes into consideration of deep research capabilities and enterprise framework in NUS.
  4. Communicate the research & innovate strategy so that it could be understood and accepted by key NUS stakeholders including management and researchers as well as collaboration partners. Evangelize innovation internally and externally.
  5. Support Senior Management to drive the end-to-end establishment of strategic research roadmap and new research initiatives for the university.

 

Qualifications

  • A recognised degree; postgraduate degree will be an advantage.
  • At least 10 years’ of experience in research / research management or related fields.
  • Self-starter with initiative to work in a fast-changing and disruptive environment.
  • Good communication skills with an outgoing personality and a good team player.
  • Good analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the local research, innovation and enterprise ecosystem.
  • Resourceful, and good at solving problems.
