Job Description
The Department of Architecture invites applications for up to four Tenure Track positions in Landscape Architecture.
The Department of Architecture in the College of Design and Engineering is ranked among the top 10 in the world, and Asia’s best in Architecture/Built Environment, by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (2023). It offers the professionally accredited Master of Architecture programme as well as a range of graduate and undergraduate programmes in related fields such as urban planning/design, landscape architecture and conservation. The faculty is correspondingly diverse and international. Qualifications
Successful candidates should be actively engaged in landscape architectural research and design, including but not limited to geospatial analysis, landscape representation, urbanism, ecology, infrastructure, and landscape engineering. They should have interests in developing interdisciplinary research addressing pressing environmental, urban, and social challenges in Asia. Additional preferred qualifications include experience in professional practice or membership with professional bodies.
Successful candidates are expected to contribute to landscape design studios for undergraduate and post-graduate students, and core modules related to geodesign, ecological and environmental systems, landscape policy and planning, landscape representation, and materials or site engineering. Depending on the rank, candidates may also be considered for leadership roles within the Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture programmes. Senior rank candidates with outstanding research profile and high international standing may be directly hired as tenured faculty.

3. A Statement of Teaching (maximum two pages) and a sample syllabus of a course to be taught that is relevant to abovementioned topics.
4. A Statement of Research (including a short research plan for next three to five years maximum three pages) – citing up to five significant publications, creative work or other scholarly contribution and explaining their significance, and a writing sample.
5. Names of four referees with contact details (who will be contacted only if shortlisted). Please highlight any who is a member of your PhD dissertation committee.
6. A Portfolio of Creative Works (Optional)
