Job Description

 

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) of the National University of Singapore is hiring a Research Fellow to assist the Principal Investigator to research on Sustainable Construction. He /she is required to:


(1)    Aid the development of sustainable construction materials from locally available resources.
(2)    Perform analysis on whole life carbon footprint on developed material.

Job Requirements

 
•    Possess a PhD degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering with demonstrated experience in designing and conducting experiments, performing statistical data analysis and possess excellent quantitative, and analytical skills.

•    The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated and can work in an interdisciplinary environment.

•    Able to work with minimal supervision, plan and perform experimental and field work, and present results in group meetings.

•    Possess good written and spoken communication and able to present results clearly.

•    Prior experience in cement chemistry, concrete technology, and various experimental skills (XRD, TGA, MIP, Hydration, Rheology, Durability, 3D printing, etc) are essential to the posted job.  

•    Open to fixed-term contract
