Job Description

Prof. Lam Ping Koy brings three decades of experience in squeezed light sources and their applications in metrology and quantum communications. Our group at NUS is developing next generation squeezed light sources for quantum metrology applications and we are seeking engineers with an aptitude for applied physics and engineering who are interested in contributing to this project, which involves:

  • Developing new designs for the squeezing cavity;
  • Developing and deploying novel FPGA-based feedback control systems;
  • Characterizing various sources of phase noise in generation and measurement;
  • Proposing techniques for mitigating phase noise.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or Master’s in Physics or Photonics or Applied Physics or Engineering (Physics)
  • At least 6 months of related experience (FYP experience can be counted against this)
  • Familiar with PDH locking, optical instrumentation, basic electronics and optical interferometry
