Manager, Research Compliance and Integrity

Job Description

Our office supports NUS in upholding the highest standards of integrity in our research studies.

We are seeking an individual who can help us assess and review cases and feedback concerning potential cases of research misconduct. This includes allegations of plagiarism, falsification, fabrication or any form of activity which undermine the credibility and excellence of NUS research. 

As the incumbent will need to liaise with various academics and stakeholders in NUS as well as externally, he/she should enjoy interacting with people and perform work involving analysis and problem-solving.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Assessment of potential research misconduct feedback and cases.

- Follow up with documenting, internal and external communications relating to research misconduct cases

- To assist and support the Research Compliance and Integrity) on a wide range of research-related issues including (but not limited to) ethical compliance, research integrity and research data management

- Ensure proper record-keeping of all documents. 

- Provide general support on a wide range of research-related issues including ethical compliance, research integrity and research data management

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is someone with a Ph.D. degree from a biomedical science or science discipline, including biochemistry, material science, physics, biochemical engineering etc.
• Preferably with at least 3 years of research experience.
• An integrative/multidisciplinary science qualification or experience is an added advantage.
• He/she must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work well with people from various levels and departments in NUS, as well as with external parties.
