Job Purpose

To augment our manpower resources in the Examination unit within the Office of Undergraduate Studies (UG Office), we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to provide administrative support.

Job Description

The incumbent will be part of the examination team to handle academic offences cases and examinations processing/logistics related processing to ensure smooth running of the programme as well as services for students and course coordinators for academic offences.

 

Key duties are:

 

A) Processing academic offences. This includes (but not limited to):

  • Ensure all academic offences that are reported by the course coordinators are processed in a timely manner. 
  • Support and advise course coordinator on the procedures for reporting academic offences for their course/s by providing the necessary documents needed.
  • Liaison with the Assistant Deans handling academic offences in UG Office and the course coordinators to ensure all the necessary documentation and supporting documents are complete and to follow up on the investigation process (such as arranging for interview with the students ) etc.  
  • Collate and update all the completed cases into the Central Database for student record and update Office of Student Conduct in each semester.
  • Collate and compile the statistics on the number of plagiarism cases in each semester.

 

B) Exam Processing/Exam Logistics.  This includes (but not limited to):

  • Assist in handling the Exam Processing/Logistics for SOC students.
  • Assist with students’ general queries, advice graduating students on course requirements, updating of student’s plan/sub-plans course 
  • Assist in exam processing for SOC students in each semester
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder or Polytechnic Diploma holder, preferably with work experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good writing skills and experienced with web management.
  • Analytical, resourceful and energetic. 
  • Able to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of customer service.
  • The successful incumbent will be offered an initial 2 years' contract, subject to renewal
