Job Purpose

To augment our manpower resources in the school, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to provide administrative support  in the administration of undergraduate programmes and other related academic activities of the School of Computing Office of Undergraduate Studies.  

Job Description

  • Serves as the key liaison officer for the administration of newly introduced undergraduate programme by the School and will coordinate with NUS Office of Admissions and School’s Outreach Team for the publicity of such a programme to generate applicant interests for the new offering
  • Maintains the programme website and assists in admissions related processes
  • Works with the University of the Registrar to configure new academic plan in EduRec
  • Maintains CourseReg Course level setup and quota configuration for course bidding for new degree (including projection of quotas each semester for related courses)
  • Handles programme queries management and advisement to undergraduates
  • Be responsible for the declaration by interested undergraduates for enrolment into the programme in consultation with department selection committee
  • Collects and utilises data to measure impact and engagement recruitment strategies.
  • Participates in faculty and department information sessions to promote greater awareness of new programme offering
  • Performs data analytics for the Office of Undergraduate Studies and the School Management for implementation of strategic plans/goals
  • Services other ad-hoc special projects/assignments as determined by the Vice Dean (Undergraduate Studies)
     

Qualifications

  • Possesses a recognized university degree in any discipline and with at least 1-2 years of relevant working experience
  • Comfortable with decision making and handling objection with confidence
  • Demonstrates good knowledge of programme offerings and positive attitude
  • Adaptable and able to prioritise tasks as they arise and work under tight deadlines (including the willingness to work on weekends during peak cycles)
  • Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates excellent time management skills
  • Fluent in data literacy and analytics
  • IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and database management 
  • The initial employment is 2 years' contract, subject to re-appointment based on operational needs
