Job Description
We seek an enthusiastic and capable full-time research assistant for the above project at National University of Singapore. The applicant should have expertise in digital well-being and human-computer interaction. A candidate with a background at the intersection of social science and human-computer interaction is preferred, given that the project seeks to understand the theoretical mechanisms and design the human-chatbot interaction. The appointment will be for a period of 0.5 years at the first instance. This project is led by PI Renwen Zhang and co-PI Yi-Chieh Lee to investigate the AI-harm relevant topics. The research assistant will collaborate with the PIs to publish research in top-tier conferences and journals.
Qualifications
The applicant should possess the following qualifications:
- Possess at least 1-2 years of work experience level
- Advanced statistical programming languages such as R, Python, and SPSS, particularly proficiency in structural equation modeling
- A publication record in both social science and human-computer interaction
- Prior experience in Randomized Controlled Trial experiments, surveys, and computational social science
- Interdisciplinary work experiences with individuals from diverse backgrounds such as computer science, social science, and cognitive science
- Excellent English written and spoken communication skills. Strong organizational skill and interpersonal skill
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
