Research Fellow (Biological Sciences)

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Ji Sun on structural and functional analysis of key molecules in human diseases on a project to understand disease mechanism and develop therapeutics. 

The main responsibilities of the position include:
1)    Independently design and perform experiments for the project
2)    Mentor graduate student and research assistant
3)    Perform drug discovery work
4)    Data documentation and analysis
5)    Other general lab duties

Qualifications

•    Qualifications / Discipline:
1)    1st author publication in related field is required
2)    Strong background in biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics or physics is required
3)    Good communications, reading and writing skills in English
4)    Able to carry 10+ kg

•    Skills:
1)    Protein biochemistry, cell biology, biophysics or structural biology
2)    Molecular cloning and cell culture is a plus
3)    General knowledge in shell script or Linux is a plus

•    Experience:  
1)    Ph.D. degree. Those with no experience are welcome
2)    Previous research experience in electron microscopy or light microscope is a plus
