Research Assistant (Cancer Science Institute)
Date: 15 Nov 2024
Location: SPECIALTY RESEARCH INST/CTRS, Kent Ridge Campus, SG
Company: National University of Singapore
Job Description
Prof Chng Wee Joo's lab in Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI) is at the forefront of cutting-edge research in haematological malignancies, with a particular focus on multiple myeloma (MM), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (NKTL).
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our team and contribute to our translational research program. This program integrates genomics and proteomics technologies to drive clinically relevant discoveries in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of these cancers.
As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting various research activities, including experimental design, data collection, and analysis, as well as laboratory management. You will collaborate closely with our team of scientists and clinicians to help advance our bench-to-bedside research pipeline, translating laboratory findings into potential therapeutic interventions for haematological malignancies.

Conducting Research
- Assist in performing high-throughput genomics and proteomics analyses on human tumor samples and model systems.
- Participate in pre-clinical validation studies of novel therapeutic targets identified from genomic and molecular discoveries.
- Support ongoing research projects focused on molecular subtyping, disease progression, and therapeutic resistance in MM, AML, and NKTL.
- Assist in testing novel compounds targeting oncogenic pathways (e.g., EZH2 inhibitors in AML).
Data Collection and Analysis
- Prepare and process biological samples for genomic and proteomic studies.
- Utilize bioinformatics tools and relational databases for system biology analysis and integration of clinical and molecular data.
- Contribute to data management and statistical analysis of experimental results.
Laboratory Management
