Job Description
- To manage the recruitment of faculty candidates on tenure-track and practice track
- To support the University’s process of mid-term review (MTAR) and promotion & tenure (P&T) of academic staff
- To manage the appointments and reappointments of research staff, adjunct staff and Visiting Professors
- To manage the appointments of academic visitors
- To manage the annual appraisals for academic staff and research staff
- To support the other functions for the TRP Central Admin eg organization of events
- To support the nomination of PhD Defence Chairs for postgraduate students
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- At least 5 years working experience in research administration in tertiary institutions, particularly in academic affairs function
- Highly organized individual and adaptable to a dynamic work environment
- Exhibits initiative, proven effective leadership & team management and ability to work under pressure/deadlines
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive approach to problem solving with growth mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications
- Knowledge and experience in research bibliometrics (eg Scopus) will be advantageous
