Job Description
NUS College is the honours college of NUS and conducts the outreach and admissions process in collaboration and partnership with the Office of Admissions, partner faculties, and other partners in NUS. NUS College receives thousands of applications for a few hundred places each year. This is an intellectually engaging role for candidates with skill sets in data and operations analysis to contribute to the higher education sector.
The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the admissions process through data processing and analysis, admissions portal management, and workflow optimisation using technology. The role also includes supporting broader admissions operations and process improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing structured workflows. Duties & Responsibilities
- Create detailed reports on data sources, methodology, analytical techniques, analytical results and insights for stakeholders
- Develop visualizations and presentations for dissemination of analytical results and derivation of actionable insight
- Develop data repositories and system to enable key stakeholders to process admission data (e.g. applicant details, reader or interviewer assessment)
- Maintain and manage the NUS College admissions portal
- Oversee projects involving the enhancement of workflow processes using technology, including but not limited to artificial intelligence tools
- Assist in coordinating with the Office of Admissions and other institutions in NUS on admission matters
- Keep track of admissions decisions made for applicants and on admissions postings made by the Office of Admissions
- Support the admissions team in the running of admissions interviews and outreach events, including on weekends (when required)
- Other duties as assigned, including working with other administrative teams in NUS College on cross-functional and shared duties
Qualifications
- Minimum a Bachelor degree in data analytics, information technology, computer science or another quantitative field, or in the social sciences with strong expertise in survey approaches and data analytics
- Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
Data Analytics
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn SQL query scripting skills and knowledgeable in database technologies
- Proficiency in data modelling, data wrangling and data preparation
- Familiarity with using a programming language (e.g. C++, C#/.NET, Java, Python)
- Analytical skills to perform data profiling and data visualization
- Experience in using in one or more of the following techniques/methods: statistical and predictive modelling techniques, clustering and classification techniques
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and critical thinking with the ability to articulate ideas with data
AI and Digital Tools
- Familiarity with and willingness to learn AI-enabled and digital productivity tools to support reporting, documentation, workflow improvement, and information synthesis, e.g. PowerAutomate, n8n
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly for tasks such as summarizing documents, drafting communications, generating meeting notes, supporting reporting, and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Awareness of data confidentiality and appropriate use considerations when applying AI tools in an administrative setting
- Experience with workflow automation and AI-supported tools would be an advantage
- Familiarity with tools such as AI-Chat, AI-Discover, AI-Minute, AI-Create, or AI-Flow, and willingness to learn similar tools, would be an advantage
