About the Role

The incumbent will support the Senior Business Analyst in the Analytics & Assurance team within the Central Procurement Office (CPO). The role focuses on front-end data analytics, dashboard development, reporting, workflow automation, and AI-enabled process improvement to support procurement operations and management decision-making.

Job Description

1.Dashboarding, Reporting and Insights

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for procurement KPIs, operational metrics, and management reporting.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements for business and management needs.

2. Spend Analysis and Data Support

  • Analyse procurement and spend data to identify trends, savings opportunities, compliance gaps, and areas for process improvement.
  • Support data validation, cleansing, and preparation to improve reporting quality and reliability.
  • Generate insights to support planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making. 

3. Automation and Workflow Improvement

  • Design and implement workflow automations using Microsoft Power Automate or similar tools to streamline reporting, notifications, tracking, and operational processes.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency through digitalisation.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting and operational workflows.

4. AI-Assisted Projects and Innovation

  • Support the use of AI-assisted tools to enhance reporting, document analysis, workflow efficiency, and decision support.
  • Participate in pilot projects and implementation of practical AI use cases in procurement operations.
  • Explore and recommend suitable AI-enabled solutions to improve productivity and business processes.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accountancy, Business, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in data analytics, reporting, process automation, or related areas.
    • Candidates with stronger relevant experience may be considered for appointment at Manager level.
    • Experience in procurement, finance, operations, or compliance analytics will be an advantage.

    Technical Skills Required

    • Proficiency in Power BI, Qlik, or similar data visualisation tools.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
    • Working knowledge of SQL, data modelling, and data transformation concepts.
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools. 

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with Python or R for data analysis, scripting, or automation.
    • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, or other modern data platforms.
    • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, or generative AI APIs.

Additional Information

  • Experience in higher education, public sector, or healthcare sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with procure-to-pay (P2P) processes is preferred.
  • Experience in implementing automation for compliance tracking or operational workflows will be an advantage.
