Job Description

The Industry Engagement and Partnerships (IEP) division under the Office of Deputy President (Research and Technology) is seeking motivated professionals with experience in contracts management.  The role is to facilitate and enable research related engagements and collaborations between NUS and external parties, including public sector organisations and industry and to provide administrative to ensure smooth running of the day-to-day IEP operations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Draft, review and negotiate with external parties on standard/template form research related agreements.
  2. Work with legal counsel, grant management and IP management teams to draft and finalise research related agreements.
  3. Advise and assist researchers on research related and IP policies and compliance of internal procedures for research contracts.
  4. General admin support for research contracts, including management of contracts database system, generating of statistical reports from the database system, file management, writing correspondence and handling logistics arrangement to facilitate contracts execution with external parties.

Qualifications

  • Recognised degree (in Engineering, Sciences or Law preferred).
  • At least 4 years of working experience in legal support or contracts management or administrative functions.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating or managing legal agreements will be .
  • Candidates with the ability to demonstrate understanding of, or have experience in, drafting, reviewing, negotiating or managing legal agreements, or working with university research will be favourably considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) skills, with an aptitude for negotiation.
  • Meticulous individual and highly motivated and matured independent self-starter with the ability and flexibility to deal complex business, interpersonal, and intra-organizational issues and multi-task.
