NUS College is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to join our NUSC Outreach team. This role combines Alumni Relations and Strategic Affairs, focusing on developing and executing an effective strategy to engage and cultivate relationships with our alumni while also supporting strategic initiatives like the NUSC Summer School and a thought-leadership talk series. We envision a holistic approach to engagement that extends from students' initial admissions to their graduation day, fostering lifelong connections and meaningful experiences within our community. Duties & Responsibilities
Alumni Engagement:
• Lead NUSC’s participation in milestone alumni events including Homecoming, Kent Ridge Alumni Family Day, and Day of Service, and organise alumni activities tailored to diverse alumni segments.
• Manage and expand the mentorship programme, working with Growth Mentoring, NUSC’s internal career services team, to connect alumni with professional development resources and foster a spirit of mentorship within the community.
• Cultivate long-term, meaningful relationships with alumni through personalised outreach, recognition efforts, and initiatives that enhance NUSC’s legacy.
• Oversee the tracking and analysis of alumni engagement data to inform and refine strategies, gaining valuable insights into alumni relations practices.
• Collaborate with the YNC Alumni Exco, Alumni Ambassadors, Alumni Interviewers, and other alumni stakeholders, building a culture of volunteerism and leadership.
• Leverage social media platforms, the NUSC website, and digital communication tools to build connections, share updates, and highlight alumni achievements.
Strategic Affairs:
• Support the NUSC Summer School by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to create an enriching, interdisciplinary experience for participants.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of a thought-leadership talk series, designed to showcase innovative ideas and foster a platform for thought leadership within the NUSC community.
Outreach Matters:
• Provide support on other outreach matters, as needed, including events such as open house, acceptance campaigns, commencement, and alumni reunions. Some events may require evening or weekend availability.
• Collaborate with other administrative teams on cross-functional projects and shared duties, gaining exposure to various aspects of NUSC’s operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Take part in any additional duties and tasks related to cultivating NUSC’s alumni and enhancing their overall experience with the College. This role offers growth opportunities for professionals passionate about creating a lasting impact on community engagement and institutional legacy.
Qualifications
• A recognised university degree with 3 years of proven track record in partnership and/stakeholder engagement.
• Enjoys meeting and interacting with alumni, students (future alumni), and other community members, with a genuine interest in fostering meaningful relationships.
• Flexible for after-hours events and activities as needed for alumni relations.
• Comfortable using tech tools and various communication platforms for stakeholder engagement.
• Proficient in updating alumni website pages using WordPress.
• Resourceful, service-oriented, and enthusiastic about taking on new challenges.
• Meticulous with names and details, ensuring accurate and personalised communication with alumni.
• Passionate about education and committed to creating opportunities for students.
• Events management experience is advantageous.
