Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic BMC Lead Architect to spearhead the architecture, design, and optimization of our BMC Helix platform. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix, and more than 10 years of overall IT experience, including proven leadership of technical teams in enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, service automation, and integration of BMC tools with broader enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design, implementation, and lifecycle management of the BMC Helix platform, including ITSM, ITOM, and related modules.
- Define the roadmap for BMC solutions aligned to enterprise goals and IT service strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on BMC Helix configuration, customization, workflow development, and integration with third-party tools.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, application owners, and service management teams to ensure seamless integration of BMC within the IT ecosystem.
- Lead and mentor a team of BMC engineers, developers, and administrators.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate new features, upgrades, and releases from BMC and plan adoption strategies.
- Document architectural decisions, implementation strategies, and system dependencies.
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- BMC Helix certifications preferred (e.g., BMC Helix ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Digital Workplace).
- ITIL v3 or v4 certification is an advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years of in-depth experience with BMC platforms, particularly BMC Helix.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams.
- Strong background in IT Service Management (ITSM), Configuration Management (CMDB), Service Automation, and Monitoring.
- Experience with cloud-based ITSM solutions and migration from on-prem to SaaS-based BMC Helix is a plus
Skills:
- Deep understanding of BMC architecture, data models, workflows, and integration patterns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and scripting (JavaScript, Python, or Shell).
