About Centre for Future-Ready Graduates

NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates (CFG) adopts a multipronged, student-centric approach to help them make sense of their strengths, refine their skills and demonstrate their value to employers. Beginning with the end in mind, CFG has developed a four-year roadmap to help enhance the employability of our graduates through a repertoire of skills programmes and industry focused experiential opportunities. This bolsters students’ assurance to grow deeper, discover their passion and explore multiple pathways.

Serving the entire spectrum of students from undergraduates to post-graduates, CFG offers more than 15 unit-bearing courses in collaboration with academic and industry partners. We continuously innovate and enhance the quality of our offerings, as our students deserve the best tools, preparedness, and mindset to not just launch a good career, but be equipped with critical life and career skills that can help them navigate an evolving world of work and be resilient amidst volatility.

We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking professional to join our team. In this meaningful role, you will play a pivotal part in early career preparation, coaching students to articulate their unique value proposition in an increasingly AI-driven global workforce. You will guide students to blend AI fluency with uniquely human differentiators (e.g. critical thinking, emotional intelligence and strategic communication). You can look forward to working closely with the broader CFG and Faculty teams to customise, curate and deliver a comprehensive suite of career and life skills to enhance our unit-bearing courses, internship programmes and standalone workshops, based on students’ needs and profiles.

About the Role

Career Advisory

• Advise undergraduates and recent graduates on career exploration, job market navigation, and employability strategies, helping them understand how AI is reshaping roles across industries and how to position themselves as adaptive, future-ready professionals
• Provide 1-on-1 and group coaching on career planning, job search strategies, resume and cover letter reviews, and interview preparation

Workshops, Briefings and Programmes

• Organise and facilitate workshops with on essential career skills (e.g. resume writing, interviews, networking, workplace communication, and personal branding) and industry-themed career events
• Conduct internship and graduate briefings to help students prepare for hiring trends, workplace expectations and career pivots
• Develop and implement experiential learning programmes to enhance career and workplace competencies

Industry and Faculty Collaboration

• Collaborate with the Industry Relations team to strengthen employer engagement, understand hiring needs in business and technology sectors, and connect students to relevant opportunities
• Support key CFG/partner Faculties’ activities and events (e.g. Career Fest)

Student Engagement and Outreach

• Drive student engagement through initiatives that promote career services, digital career platforms, events and advisory resources
• Support reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement of career services for assigned student segments

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accountancy, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not required
• 5 years of relevant working experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Banking and Financial Services (including FinTech)
  • Commodities, Energy and Renewables
  • Consulting and Professional Services
  • Consumer Goods
  • Information and Communications Technology
  • Logistics and Transportation
  • Real Estate
• Good industry awareness of ongoing transformation, emerging opportunities, hiring trends, workplace and employer expectations
• Familiarity with recruitment processes for business and technology roles, including case interviews, assessment centres, technical interviews, coding assessments, and internship conversion pathways, would be beneficial
• Comfort and curiosity in using AI tools (e.g. generative AI platforms, AI-powered career tech, data visualisation tools) in a professional or educational setting.
• Strong written and verbal persuasive communication skills. Prior experience in developing / conducting career-related workshops is an added advantage.
• Excellent organisational and management skills with strong ability to build communities, develop relationships and establish networks
• Resilient and adaptable with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with partners and colleagues to manage change and achieve goals
