The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute Department, under Dean's Office is looking for 2 Casual Interviewers to assist with the following job responsibilities:
- Administer surveys to individuals, in-person or over the phone, ensuring accurate responses are recorded.
- Travel to specific locations to gather data from seniors (aged above 60)
- Ensure that responses gathered are recorded accurately electronically (e.g., using tablets, or mobile apps).
- Build rapport with respondents, explaining the purpose of the survey, ensuring their comfort, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards, ensuring that respondent information is protected and used solely for the intended purposes.
- Follow survey protocols, guidelines, and methodologies as instructed by supervisor.
- Provide regular updates to supervisor on the progress of data collection, challenges faced in the field, and potential improvements for the process.
- Work closely with a team of surveyors to ensure that the project goals are met.
*Please take note that this is a part-time contract (2 months) requiring commitment of up to 25 working hours per week.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with respondents.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate data recording.
- Basic computer literacy (for using survey software or data collection tools).
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Survey's target audience involves gathering data from elderly (aged 60 & above), knowledge of Mandarin, Chinese dialects, Malay and Tamil is essential.
- Familiarity with ethical standards related to data collection and respondent privacy.
- Experience in fieldwork or survey administration (optional).
