Job Description
Please apply here for this position.
At the heart of BLOCK71’s mission lies its commitment to people—founders, partners, and the community that makes up our innovation network. As BLOCK71 scales across campuses and countries, our community function is evolving to play an even more strategic role: bridging programmes with people, connecting stakeholders across centres, and growing our startup ecosystem from the ground up
As we expand our strategic programmes and partner collaborations, we’re looking for a Community & Partnerships Manager who can deepen relationships, co-create meaningful initiatives, and represent BLOCK71 within Singapore’s broader innovation landscape
This is a strategic, high-touch role best suited for someone who enjoys building community infrastructure and translating conversations into long-term collaborations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ecosystem Engagement: Be the central point of contact for startup founders across our incubation network. Facilitate onboarding, conduct regular check-ins, and provide proactive support to help startups navigate their incubation journey.
- Founder Programmes & Events: Lead community-focused programmes like Founders Vault, Mastermind Circles, and BLOCK71’s flagship events. Champion founder-led learning, peer support, and curated networking.
- Student Engagement: Take ownership of the Student Community Ambassador Programme, mentoring and leading ambassadors who drive outreach and initiatives under the Student Entrepreneurship Community. You'll shape the next generation of student founders and integrate them into BLOCK71’s broader ecosystem.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with external ecosystem partners—including accelerators, VCs, corporates, and innovation networks. Identify opportunities for co-hosted events, mentoring initiatives, and value-added collaborations.
- Business Development (Perks Partners): Drive efforts to secure BLOCK71 Perks Partners who offer exclusive benefits and resources to our startup community (e.g. software credits, services, and discounts). Maintain strong partner relationships and continuously expand the perks catalogue based on founder needs.
- Alumni & Post-Programme Support: Keep alumni engaged through ongoing access to mentors, networking events, and startup spotlight features. Support their growth beyond the incubation period through warm introductions and ecosystem activation.
- Community Building Strategy: Develop systems, rituals, and engagement strategies that foster founder connection—whether online (Slack, newsletters) or in-person. Use feedback loops to iterate and scale what works.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Marketing and Incubation teams to bring startup stories to life, support programme recruitment, and advocate for founder needs internally.
Qualifications
- At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in community management, partnerships, programme management, or ecosystem building—preferably within startups, innovation, or entrepreneurship support environments.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across stakeholder levels.
- Demonstrated experience in partnership development, BD, or ecosystem engagement.
- Independent, organised, and proactive in driving results with minimal supervision.
- Passion for startups, founder journeys, and building sustainable communities.
