Job Description

As an Executive supporting the Faculty Research Centre (FRC), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and coordination of the Centre’s diverse activities. Reporting directly to the FRC Lead, you will work together with the Faculty Research Centre Admin Team to deliver comprehensive administrative and operational support.

  • Coordinate the comprehensive planning and execution of the Centre’s training programmes, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders and seamless event delivery.
  • Support the end-to-end organisation of high-quality seminars, conferences, and research events, managing speaker arrangements, venue logistics, and promotional activities.
  • Provide detailed administrative assistance related to research initiatives including processing financial claims, tracking budgets, generating reports, and liaising efficiently with the Finance Department.
  • Assist with the administration of the Research Centre’s portfolio of projects, maintaining accurate records and facilitating collaboration among various research teams.
  • Oversee general centre coordination matters to support the overall strategic goals and operational effectiveness of the Faculty Research Centre.
  • Proactively contribute to continuous improvement efforts and undertake additional duties as assigned to support the Centre’s mission.

The role requires a proactive and resourceful individual who can multitask efficiently in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in research or an academic or tertiary education environment will be an advantage. 
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
