This position is to support the upcoming tranches of research grants being awarded by the Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Research Programmes (Applied Research). There is a need for the selected candidate to work closely with our government agencies for RIE2030 funding including financial proposal and administrative proposal (such as space, assets and others).


Duties & Responsibilities
 

The Executive (Research) is required to:

  •     Assist CFI Principal Investigators (PIs) with the full range of research grant administration, including grant applications, budget checks, reviews, award management, variation requests, project progress updates, and final reports.
  •     Ensure all processes adhere to the grant policies, guidelines, and funding agencies’ regulations.
  •     Assist with institutional grant processes, including legal contracts and award creation within management systems.
  •     Offer guidance to CFI project teams on grant processes and compliance requirements.
  •     Oversee grant closure processes and facilitate Research Collaboration Agreements (RCA) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) between grant stakeholders where applicable.
  •     Manage research portals and related records.
  •     Coordinate with stakeholders, external parties, and auditors as needed.
  •     Research progress report and audit with grantors for both existing projects and new initiatives.
  •     Any other duties as directed by Executive Director, Director (Operations) or Director (Research).

 

Job Requirements


•    At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
•    Preferably with 3 to 4 years of working experience in research grant management in an educational institution.
•    Attention to details and accuracy
•    Strong planning and organizational skills.
•    Good time management
•    Able to learn fast, multi-task and work within tight timelines.
•    Good problem-solving skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships, stakeholder management, communicate effectively across all levels.
•    Able to work independently and as a team
•    Open to fixed term contract.
