Job Description
The Development Office (DVO) is the University-wide office responsible for helping NUS secure philanthropic contributions for the University. The Gift Fund Registry role involves facilitating gift-related approvals from NUS President and ensuring University’s compliance with the relevant statutes, regulations, and governing policies.
The role provides an opportunity to learn and contribute to these development-related functions and will be beneficial for someone who has an interest in philanthropy and aspires to build a career in development work.
Duties & Responsibilities
Gift Fund Registry
- Facilitate the approvals of gift recording documents and naming recognition at the University, including flagging of risks associated with the gift.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on gift acceptance and naming recognition related matters.
- Ensure that gifts are accepted in accordance with University statutes, policies and guidelines. Review, update and develop policies, processes and work on best practices related to gift fund registry.
- Maintain relevant gift documents in the Gift Fund Registry.
- Team members will also work on other related matters as required.

- Experience in providing support to internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while being a good team player.
- Proactive and meticulous.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Embrace continuous learning.
- A desire to improve processes and operations, while leveraging technology.
- A recognized university degree; candidates who possess a diploma with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience in higher education or in philanthropy will be a plus.
