At TMR (pronounced"tomorrow"), we are committed to performing high quality research to address Singapore’s translational medicine needs. As part of NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, we are equipped with two state of the art Magnetic Resonance scanners and manned by clinically and research trained radiographers. Our imaging and analysis teams work together closely to ensure that acquired data can match analysis paradigms and vice versa ensuring accurate and reliable research results.

 

Finance Administration

  • Perform budgeting, monitoring of expenditures, processing of payments and claims, and preparation of financial reports 

Procurement Management

  • Prepare necessary paperwork, advice on the correct procurement methods, negotiating contracts/quotes, processing of purchase orders and goods receipts/return and compliance with University procurement policy (UPP) to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services required to deliver project outcomes.

Operational and Administrative Management

  • Oversee day-to-day departmental operations, card access to labs and scanners, fixed asset management and any administrative support functions to ensure efficient operations and smooth execution of project and centre’s business activities.

Event and Programme Coordination

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate corporate and research-related events, workshops, seminars, and outreach activities — including managing logistics, scheduling, participant engagement and communication to facilitate knowledge exchange, enhance research collaboration, and promote the centre’s aim and scientific profile.

Ad-hoc support

  • Provide flexible administrative, operational, and research-related support as required — including assisting with urgent project tasks, data or document preparation, internal coordination, and other duties assigned by management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, timely response to emerging needs, and continuous support for centre and project/grant objectives.

Qualifications

  1. Degree in any discipline
  2. 1-3 years of experience in general administration
  3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships, stakeholder management, communicate effectively across all levels. and strong in problem-solving
  4. Good problem-solving skills and have strong business acumen.
  5. Positive, can-do attitude, meticulous, able to work with data and do hands-on task. 
  6. Proficient in MS Office.
  7. Ability to adapt and work in a fast paced and rapid changing environment.
  8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Pro-active with positive and resilient attitude.
  10. Meticulous, independent and able to meet deadlines.
  11. Good time management.
  12. Attention to details and accuracy.
  13. Able to work independently and as a team.
