Job Description

The Head of BLOCK71 Saigon will be responsible for the overall management of BLOCK71 Saigon’s operations. The Head will lead strategic growth initiatives, oversee program execution, manage the team, and ensure alignment with BLOCK71’s regional objectives. This role will focus on building strong partnerships, creating a robust startup pipeline, and fostering a collaborative startup ecosystem in Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of BLOCK71 Saigon, ensuring smooth functioning across all areas.
• Lead strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with BLOCK71’s overall goals and regional impact targets.
• Manage and support the team to ensure they meet their individual KPIs and contribute to the overall success of BLOCK71 Saigon.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporates, government agencies, and universities.
• Ensure the successful execution of flagship programs.
• Oversee the financial performance of BLOCK71 Saigon, managing the annual operating budget and ensuring financial sustainability.
• Drive alumni engagement to leverage their network for mentorship, investment, and business development opportunities for startups.
• Act as a spokesperson for BLOCK71 Saigon, representing it at industry events, conferences, and forums.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in management, operations, or business development roles within a startup, incubator, or accelerator environment in Vietnam.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
• Strong understanding of and connections within the startup ecosystem and innovation landscape in Vietnam and ASEAN.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and networks across Universities, Investors, Founders and NUS Alumni, within Vietnam.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and operations.
• Proficiency in English and Vietnamese in order to communicate and present to Vietnamese stakeholders.
