Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities 

•    To provide technical support for Laboratory Class Experiments.
•    To provide technical support to undergraduate/postgraduate projects.
•    Performing other tasks/assignments assigned by laboratory supervisors.
•    Involved in the daily operations, maintenance and upkeep of the laboratories and teaching facilities.
•    Assist in laboratory procurement and vendor engagement.
•    Processing financial documents; submission of claims.
•    Maintain laboratory equipment inventory.
•    Assist in the lab safety management system and safety certification audit.
•    Assist undergraduate students, MSc and PhD students, intern students, outreach students for their design projects including design and minor fabrication.

Qualifications

Job Requirements (Please state Qualification, Years of Experience, Knowledge & Skills required.) 

•    Diploma holder in mechanical engineering or equivalent. 
•    Possess good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
•    A good team player and able to work independently.
•    Desire to learn new skills as well as take on new responsibilities.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office, e.g. Microsoft Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
•    Knowledge of laboratory safety management will be an advantage.
•    Knowledge/skill on 3D printing and some electronics knowledge will be advantage.
•    Background knowledge in machining and computers/workstations is an advantage.
